I am writing this as a daughter of God but also a frustrated young women of color. I am often told that I need to get out there and find a man; even by my own mother. I am on my way to finishing my masters degree and traveling, but my mom still does not see me as a whole person. I would be lying if I said that this does not hurt my feelings at times, but thank God this last year in God’s word has been good.
